Vaccinations are something of a hot topic these days and I’m beginning to wonder what is true and what isn’t. There have obviously been advances in medicine since I was a kid and some of those advances come in the form of vaccines. But is there really a risk in this increase? I guess the most disturbing thought is that there is no real concrete evidence one way or the other. People against all these new vaccines say that a child could receive upwards of 60 vaccinations before the age of two, but when I looked up the list recommended by the CDC it wasn’t even close to that. So I’m a bit confused. Some of them seem a bit redundant and others seems ridiculous, like chicken pox.
For the better part of my adult life I’ve held on to the philosophy that what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. Is that an arrogant stance since I’ve been blessed with a relatively strong immune system, or is it simply fact? All this anti-bacterial everything and sanitize this and that has seemed to lead to a need for all these vaccines, but that is one opinion of one person.
What are the facts? I can’t get any straight answers.

It seems for me that the more I am exposed….the sicker I get. Rather than becoming stronger…..I just keep getting everything there is to get. I don’t want my baby sick all the time.
