Put In Bay and Arwen’s First Day of School

There is sooooo much to say.  I have worked with Arwen every day doing various activities.  We have a daily chart that she earns reward tickets every time she does something good.  An example is brushing her teeth.  We also look at the calendar every day and do online preschool activities.  We do daily crafts, read books, build, do puzzles and games, color and read.  That’s right Arwen is reading.  She knows all her letters and sounds, as well as has the ability to sound out words when she is focused.

I am very proud of all of this.  With every strength there is opportunity.  Arwen has many areas we need to work on….such as social skills, following directions, participating in a group setting, feeding herself, drinking from a cup that isn’t sippy…..etc

That is why I am so happy she was accepted into preschool!  It isn’t for the book smart…but for the social and physical learning.  she has already showed great improvement in doing things like washing her hands after potty…etc

This is so good for her and for it I am grateful.  It gives me some time to accomplish things around the house and to have some one on one time with Rowan.

Rowan has been quite the chatter box.  The only words he says are Mama, Hug, Eat,Yeah, and Yes.  He babbles in his own language all the time.  I have tried to limit the paci…which has been a real challenge.  They both have had their first dental appointments……traumatic!  Rowan has multiple teeth coming in.  Everything is good with that.

They have started interacting together, both in active play and abuse!

Mila has started high school and is quite busy with cheerleading, choir, orchestra AND A NEW BOYFRIEND!  (who is almost 17!!!!!!!)

Marley is still living and working on the island.  I am very proud of her for taking care of herself and working.

Tim is working a job he hates…and cycling a lot.  That seems to be his passion and it is a good one.  I am so glad he is doing it…it’s good for one’s well being.

I still walk daily.  I walk Arwen to school when the circumstances allow me to…..which is most of the time.  I also have been making things like the foot balms and puppets.

Not much has changed around here…..the kids are growing fast…..It’s so precious…and so fleeting.

I cherish it.
