Well yesterday we went to the first of what is sure to be many doctor’s appointments. Poor Wendy was so nervous, mostly due to it being a doctor she didn’t know. The guy seemed nice enough, but he added an air of concern when he brought up the risks of what he called advanced age pregnancy. It’s never fun to hear that there is ever an increased risk of anything. Advanced age… WTF-ever. Time and time again it’s been proven that age simply isn’t what it used to be. One annoying thing about this guy is that he had a tendency of dancing around specific questions, making sure to give as little information as possible on any one subject. Personally that’s grounds to seek out a new doctor, that’s not my call though. As I stated before, I’m not one for doctors and when they don’t seem to want answer questions directly it’s a red flag. The two questions specifically that he more or less avioded was about cold medicines and stimulants. He offered no real opinion and no alternatives. When asked about ginseng he smirked and said a cup of coffee would be ok. What’s that all about?
On the cool side, the doctor was having a hard time making the baby’s heartbeat audible with the microphone so he did a quick ultrasound. What would’ve been even cooler is if I knew what I was looking at and actually got to see the little guy instead of staring at the wrong part of the image, thinking… oh that’s pretty cool. Wendy got to see it though and she was pretty excited about it. When we go in for the next one I’ll definitely pay more attention, and hopefully I’ll be able to get some images and/or video.

Yarrrr! Yeah Doctors don’t know anything!!! haha Besides, Wendy is a pro! I am so excited for you guys! There’s this great website….
