So another day is upon us and it would seem that I have passed on the stubbornness that I sometimes have great fun taking pride in. As before, I wanted to make note of the time that this day began, but I was asleep. Being asleep is something you will probably be doing a lot of when I am at work, and its something that you’ll probably not be doing while I try to sleep. I went to bed watching the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy movie. After the radio play and the books… it’s just bad. Oh well.
So we know the trials already encountered so we’ll start fresh and fragrant.

I woke up at about 4:00am, drank a little something to give me energy and prepared to take myself and the dogs for a walk. The walk was a medium walk, only about a mile. A mile is a measure of distance that someone said they would walk 10,000 of to hang out with some chick. What a mile actually is doesn’t really matter because it is important to point out that you could call it a ‘snarflinger’ and it would mean the same thing. After that I did some dishes and headed out to the hospital. Apparently you being stubborn was not making your mother very happy. She had already been up for several hours. I had hoped she would be asleep, but that wasn’t how it was going to play out. The nurse came in and told your mother that she could have something to help with the pain. This made her very happy and almost immediately she wasn’t so cross at the screen with all the squiggly lines on it. She was also brought a rather bland bagel. Bland bagels are never good and rarely do much to improve your mood. After the medicine kicked in your mother was able to rest and relax a bit. It started to rain, and rain hard. I hung out for a bit reading a book on my phone (first book of A Series of Unfortunate Events if you must know) and after about 3 hours it was decided that I should go home, tend to the farm and get a little more sleep myself. Thanks to work I sleep a lot better during the day so it’s important to note that you should want to find a job that lets you sleep at night.
The rest of the day was filled with plenty of back and forth between home and hospital. I really didn’t want to leave the dogs alone for too long of a time, and with good reason too. They like to eat couches when they’re bored. I should point out that this is not acceptable behaviour for children. It’s not even acceptable for dogs, but it’s more of something you come to expect.
So here, at the hospital, at 11:30pm I am going to call this the close of the day. Mommy got some new medicine, and she is getting ready to hopefully go to sleep.
