Weekends can be a pretty crazy time around Maisonburger. Some times it’s because we don’t have the time or energy to get done what needs to get done during the week. And other times it gets crazy because I haven’t the slightest clue about what I’m doing. It’s the equivalent of throwing a handful of feathers up in the air and trying to pick one to follow down. And forget about trying to predict where it’s going to land…
First, a completely random picture:
Dragon Boat Festival
This is the first time I’ve ever been to the festival. The kids loved the performances and being by the river. And the weather was just plain odd.
Dragon Boat Festival Activities
Lot’s of things to do there for the kids. Some of the booths visited were Toledo Metroparks, Toledo Museum of Art, and Imagination Station
#Books4Buddies
A literacy advocacy group, started locally by a teenager. We donated some books and got a picture taken
Morning Skate Session
Arwen wanted to skate and Rowan just wanted to go for a ride
Maumee Bay State Park
The idea was to explore one of the foot paths, rather than a bike path. We got a lot more than we bargained for.
Finding the secret path
It’s dangerous to go alone ~ Some random guy, Legend of Zelda
Children run everywhere for a reason – it’s fun. Grown-ups can forget that sometimes. ~ Harry Dresden
The Secret Path
It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to. ~ Bilbo Baggins
