…the rest

Our first day was beautiful and much of it was spent outside. Arwen also got familiar with my mom, stepdad, sister and her fiancée. The next day was nice as well. My sister was having her bachelorette party and her friends had booked rooms for us to stay in. This caused a bit of anxiety for me because I have NEVER spent a night without Arwen. Every time I called and texted I was told how well everything had gone which was a huge relief! We spend the following day relaxing and then Monday headed for Daddy’s house.
That was a pretty nice day as well. We spent a bit of that afternoon outside also. Arwen got to see and hear her first airplane. Some of my father’s friends still maintain the cub, they pulled it out and cranked it up. We walked around the hangar and the runway…enjoying the quiet peace of the country and the warm sunlight. The kids certainly had their fun. They wound up dumping mud down the slide.
Getting acquainted to yet another house and group of faces was a bit unnerving for her. With so many children running around, and so on, it was a bit of an adjustment. Tuesday was a busy, hectic day of shopping etc. We slept well…I got to snuggle Arwen in the bed. The next day we stayed till about lunch. Rita gave me some of the fathers day and birthday cards I sent Daddy. We shared a lot about him. I took the girls to the cemetery before we headed back to mama’s. It was fortunate that we timed it the way we did.
This is the second time that a storm came as we were leaving that place. We also got to mama’s right about the time she got off work.
After that we had some rainy days. We went to Alyssa’s soccer game. Mila broke her finger.
We celebrated mama’s birthday. My brother and his fiancée visited. We had some great food. The ride back was exactly like the first, except that I left at lunch and drove till like 11 at night. Arwen became fussier for much longer at the end. Marley was in the back with her. She didn’t really follow my instructions and those small tweaks attributed to the fussiness as well. It was torture for everyone. I dropped of the girls. And took Arwen home to see her Daddy. Sorry I rushed through this with little detail but Arwen is crying right now, and I have a nasty headache.
