The fight against whatever infection this is continues. Today we took her to the doctor and found out she has an ear infection. It’s in both ears, but one is worse than the other. I also suspect there is a mild sinus infection based on what I sucked out of her nose this morning.
I remember having ear infections as a kid, I remember them being crippling. Of course there are few of us that don’t know the pains of a sinus infection. All of the pressure, it must be torture.
Before I left for work I set up the humidifier in hopes that it will keep her sinuses clear. I do hope it is helping and she is sleeping.
This has been very hard on spyMommy. Not only the stress of a sick baby, but there is an empathy there that I can only sympathize with. I left work last night, early in my shift to try to help. I don’t know that it did any good, but I was able to settle her down for a bit. Being here now I have my doubts of whether I should’ve stayed home tonight or not. Mine is not the sort of job that one can walk away from easily. The rest of the week you’re playing catch-up. If things are not cleared up tomorrow, or at least notably better, I think I will be calling off again.
This is spyBaby’s first illness, pretty good considering her age. Take that all you proponents of hand sanitizers and anti-microbial everything. Common sense wins again.
