10 months old now…

The months keep flying by and it seems impossible to keep up with everything. I am only thankful that we are such shutterflies. What we can not, or do not describe in this journal is at least captured in pictures and videos. What are these pictures and videos telling? What story is it that is missing the narrative? Well for starters, she is quite mobile. She crawls everywhere she can not walk. That is not to say that she is walking on her own, but rather she will pull herself up and walk around where ever she can while holding on to whatever there is to hold on to. Unsupported walking is coming soon, I am sure of it. As all children do, she reaches for everything and wants to pull everything down from where it ought to be. More often than not these days she eats dinner with us. Some quick knife work and she eats whatever we’re eating and she loves it. Right now I am excluding some of the heavier spiced items since I don’t want to upset her stomach. Spices like cumin, tumeric and various chilis I am avoiding though their health benefits are innumerable. There hasn’t been any coherent speech yet, just your basic sounds and screeches. We’ve been having some very warm weather lately and she absolutely prefers to be outside in it. We’ve known since she was very small that she preferred the cold, a far cry from my preference, but I think the openness of the air and the breeze she enjoys. Every day we can, we take her out for a walk with the dogs. She just sits in her stroller, sometimes trying to grab at the dogs or their leash, otherwise babbling to herself contently.

I think that’s it for now, until next time.
