Well, where to start?
There’s little Arwen of course. Determined as we are to keep her restricted to certain parts of the house, she is equally determined to get to those places. She isn’t walking yet, but crawling with purpose. She has a fear of falling that I don’t know that I’ve witnessed in a child before and that, more than anything else, is what is keeping her prone for the time being. She is experimenting with stairs, a scary thought. And of course anything plugged into a wall is a new favorite play thing. She absolutely loves going outside. If she happens to be in my arms when I check the mail or something she immediately starts crying when I come inside and shut the door. This past evening she may have discovered the doggie door I installed in the den. I am not entirely certain on this point, only time will tell.
Feeding has become something of a fiasco. Prior to a time somewhat recently, feeding was easy. Now… I don’t know man. To get her to eat any substantial amount of anything is a chore and we usually have to resort to this dancing Broby doll that we have. With this distraction she will eat almost absentmindedly. She will sit for much longer periods of time if she is eat what we’re eating and drinking from our cups. It really doesn’t matter what it is either. Without a flinch she will drink grapefruit juice or in the case of last night, chomp on a bit of asparagus that I had over-cooked. I wouldn’t even eat it, and offered it to spyMommy as an example of why so many children hate asparagus… she got the point.
Something else is in the works. And by “in the works” I of course mean that Arwen has a sibling on the way. Talk about crazy… we both are excited and quite divided on what we want the sex to be. On one hand, seeing as how we’ve saved everything of Arwen’s, another girl would be easy to provide for. On the other hand, well… it another girl. Really though it doesn’t matter, the biggest challenge will be finding a boy’s name that we really like. A girl’s name is already chosen… and it will stay a secret (here anyway) until such time as it is to be revealed.
So with another spyBaby on the way, the redesign of the site seems to be a much higher priority. I’ve been looking for ways to cut costs and one of those ways may be to significantly downgrade our internet plan. We don’t use the full extent of our downstream and the upstream is only utilized fully during the off-site backups. This being said I am considering off-site hosting for the first time in years. I can get a good plan from my registar for $5 month so in the end it would be a net (haha, get it) savings of about $15, just on the internet. Really considering it…
Well, that wasn’t so quick after all…
