It was not without some pride that I watched Arwen pick letters out of a random group on request. For a long time now, one of Arwen’s favorite toys and activities is to play with these “Alphabooks” by Baby Einstein. She likes to listen to us read them and loves to look at the pictures. The other day I decided to lay some out and say a letter within the group. To my surprise and ultimate delight, she picked up that book. I tried again, she did it again. We went on like that for a few minutes with about an 80% accuracy. We’ve tried to catch it on video, but that always comes as an after thought and by the time the camera is rolling she is tiring of the game. I think we got a decent sample today. Hopefully we’ll get a better one, or at least upload the one we do have after the weekend.
