spyMommy was just telling me the other day that at this stage of spyBaby’s development she can perceive and indeed react, in a limited sense, to outside stimuli. Things like light and sound can “entertain” her, and even she can “taste” things spyMommy eats. What’s more interesting is that she can “feel” or perhaps sense the emotions that spyMommy is feeling thanks to hormones passing through the placenta.
As interesting as all this is for the most part it is not new knowledge for me, but it seems to have become more real, more relavant. Now I am wondering what kinds of tasty foods I can help pass along or perhaps now is the time to play lots of music very loudly.
I then started to think about what we’ve done in the past couple weeks. Some things make me smile, especially when looking back at things spyMommy said during these times. Baby’s first movie would certainly have to be the latest Star Trek film. spyMommy said that she was very active during the film. The same was said about baby’s first trip to Frankies with mom and dad to see CL1, Homeward Bound and Death by Rodeo.
I gain a certain satisfaction knowing that she is on the road to excellent musical and cinematic tastes. At the very least it has been a source of a little smirk and inner chuckle for the past couple days.
