I went to the doctor this morning, everything is recovering nicely. My chest is in severe pain from engorgement right now…..there is really nothing I can do.
It hurts to hold her …and feels like my skin is being severed and ripped off. Also the last few days my knees have been really hurting….getting up and down, with her in my arms, out of the chair has been difficult, as well as going up the stairs.
I hope this subsides soon.
The doctor and I discussed the back situation and the epidural injection site. He said what I am experiencing is very common and should gradually subside. This is a relief.
Arwen was taken to the doctor today as well with numerous concerns that we had. We discovered that she is now 10 lbs 12 oz. Wow!! She is really growing.
He gave us some drops for her eyes…and we have to massage the tear ducts daily. He recommended a special face wash for her sensitive skin (baby acne).
Ears and breathing are fine. The coated tongue is very mild thrush and best to just leave it alone.
She seems to be handling the formula well but the consistency and frequency of her poop are very different. She goes far less and the poop is solid now.
She has seemed so much happier to me. She goes back in 2 weeks. I wonder how big she will be then!
